Translations of Diplomas and Other Academic Documents

Diploma Translation

For many qualified professionals who decide to move to the United States, obtaining the correct residency permits is only the first step. If you studied and graduated from high school, college or university in your home country, and want to work in that field in the United States, you will need to get your diplomas and other academic documents translated so that they can then be validated in the United States.

Do I Need to Get my Diploma Translated?

The answer really depends on what you plan to do for work. If you are looking for a complete career change, or don't have higher studies, then perhaps there isn't the need to translate your diploma into English. However, if you have a professional degree, such as a medical degree, veterinarian degree or engineering degree, you can access special types of immigration schemes to address a labor shortage of qualified professionals in your field.

What Will the Translation Look Like?

The translation of your degree or diploma will use the formatting of the original diploma as a sample in order for the translation to look similar. The translation will include any and all information contained in the original document, and will include a Certificate of Translation, which one of the requirements of the USCIS when submitting immigration documentation. Idiomatic DOES NOT provide degree validation at the moment, but hopes to do so in the near future.
